Chas Cochrane a Liar? You decide.....

Back in January/February 2005, Chas Cochrane made a complaint to the Police and also to the Public Services Ombudsman.
His complaints were against Cllr Martin Davies of Manorbier Community Council. In his complaints, he alleged that following a Community Council meeting in the Village Hall, he was approached by Cllr Davies and that Cllr. Davies was, in the first instance, the one who had started the alleged incident.
This matter was thoroughly and diligently investigated by the local Police and the Ombudsman. Needless to say, no further action was taken against Cllr Davies and the matter was dismissed.
Now, interestingly, more than a year later a blog appears, an extract of which states:
After the meeting was declared closed, I approached Councillor Davies and told him I knew the person he referred to and found his comments extremely offensive.......He then jumped up out of his seat knocking over his chair......
Interesting how Cochrane alleged that Cllr Davies had started this incident when now he clearly recalls that he had approached Cllr Davies in the first instance and that Cllr Davies had knocked over his chair as he stood up. So, now we can deduce the truth of this incident, can't we? Cllr Davies was the victim of a malicious and untruthful allegation. Makes you proud when you consider individuals who are capable of such depths are allowed to live amongst us....not.
There is an accepted point here. To be a good liar, you must have a good memory. To have a good memory usually requires some degree of intelligence. I suppose, given this, and with exceptional circumstances excluded, that it is only the stupid who have poor memories.
