Think before you open your mouth..
At a Community Council meeting held on Tuesday 7th Sept 2004, an e:mail was presented to the council from Mr Huw James who is the Monitoring Officer for Pembrokeshire County Council. To the astonishment of Cllr Davies, Cllr Coleman challenged the authenticity of the e:mail. He stated that "it was not worth the paper it was written on" and that anyone could have produced that e:mail and type up the contents. It was not on PCC headed paper and therefore it's contents should be ignored. Cllr Davies could not believe that Cllr Coleman had the audacity to question the authenticity of a document that was placed before the council. This document was now in the public domain and would be accessible for anyone to view. What was Cllr Coleman thinking..? Did he honestly believe that anyone would be so incredibly stupid as to produce an e:mail themselves and try to pass it off.. Unfortunately this was about all the contribution that Cllr Coleman was able to make during the course of the meeting. Perhaps it was a shame that his involvement could not have been constructive. Opening himself to ridicule in such a manner was extraordinary.
